It is my great honor to serve as the 9th President of the Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering Society of Taiwan (BEST). I am deeply grateful for the trust and support from all members, advisors, and partners. Over the years, our society has grown through the dedication of many, and I look forward to building upon this strong foundation together with you. In today’s rapidly changing world, international collaboration and innovative research are more important than ever. BEST will continue to serve as a bridge connecting academia, industry, and government, while also expanding our role on the global stage as part of the Asian Federation of Biotechnology (AFOB). I believe that by working closely with international partners, we can open new opportunities for groundbreaking research and meaningful cooperation. At the same time, nurturing the next generation of young scholars and experts is one of our society’s most important missions. They represent the future of biotechnology and biochemical engineering, and BEST is committed to providing them with platforms for growth, exchange, and innovation. Looking ahead, my hope is that BEST will not only be a professional society, but also a warm and supportive community where ideas can flourish, collaborations can thrive, and everyone feels inspired to contribute. Together, let us shape a brighter future for biotechnology and biochemical engineering, and ensure that our society continues to grow with vitality and vision.
